Two apps, one account

Spontar has two places to sign in, depending on what you are doing. The same username and password open both.

For the institution

Backstage

Where an institution is run. The owner adds teachers and students, puts students into groups, sets up the kits and the devices, and accepts the legal documents. Teachers find their groups there, and what happened in past lessons — in a rehearsal, who dried on which line; in a class, who worked with whom; on a show night, the acts. Reports for the institution live there too.

For teachers

Composer

Where scripts come in and scenes are written. A teacher pastes or imports a script — text, PDF, Word or Fountain — or writes a scene as a list of beats — lines, situations and feelings, or pictures — with an assistant to draft from if they want one. Composer checks each scene before it can be used in a lesson, and colleagues can share it. A Library of ready scenes and scripts is there to start from.

The same account opens both. Sign in to one, and the other takes the same username and password. The owner of an institution is a teacher too, and uses both.

Forgotten your password? Each sign-in form has a link for that. An account without an email address — a teacher whose username was printed on a slip — gets a new password from the owner of their institution.

Looking for the app that runs the lesson? That is the teacher app, for the tablet or phone you teach with.
